"This achievement is the first target to break the world record. I know I'm good, I've been practicing hard," said Rudisha told Reuters.

The world record was a heart disease drug Rudisha knocked out in semis after a similar tournament last year in the same place. 21-year-old runner was a son of Daniel Rudisha, a member of 4x400m relay team that won the Olympic silver medal in Mexico City in 1968.
